Rodent control in St. George and Washington County

We remove mice and rats and work on the gaps that let them in, so the problem does not start over.

Signs of mice or rats

  • Droppings along walls, in cabinets, in the garage or attic
  • Scratching or scurrying sounds at night
  • Gnawed food packaging or wires
  • Greasy rub marks along baseboards
  • Nests made of paper, insulation or fabric

How rodents get in

Mice can squeeze through gaps as small as about a quarter inch. Common entry points include gaps around pipes and wires, garage door seals, vents, and cracks at the foundation. Utah State University Extension has noted that cold weather pushes mice into homes, so activity often picks up when nights cool down. In desert yards, pack rats can also nest in wood and rock piles and in dense plantings.

What we do

We work on removing rodents and sealing entry points. Rodent jobs are quoted after we understand the problem, because a single mouse in a garage is different from an established problem in an attic. See signs you have mice for what to look for.

Clean-up safety. Do not sweep or vacuum dry droppings or nesting material. Wear gloves, wet the area with disinfectant first, then wipe it up. Rodent droppings can carry disease.
